Introduction

Selfphilosophy, is a field of inquest and empirical research departing from the individual experience and beginning with the most beautiful, rich and fascinating "book," the book of the Self moving towards the knowledge of the Self and the world. Through the keys contained in myths, the language of archetypes, symbols, rites, thoughts and ideas, the Philosophy of the Self aspires to search one’s own soulful identity by discovering the significance of one’s immanent journey. Through this discovery we will seek to understand the reality of our times in all its various fields (from cultural and custom phenomena to economy) with its mutations and transformations by examining the problems and discomforts of the world we are living in, the questions of existence and the pressing need of providing life with meaning.
Selfphilosophy aims to be a self-cognitive journey following the examples of the most important philosophical traditions as was intended before the dawn of Psychology; from Pythagoras to Plato, from Thales to Giamblico, from Epicurus to Plotinus and more modern hermetic philosophy inspired by  "Know thyself," taught by the oracle of Delphi, which is the basis of existential philosophy.
Selfphilosophy is a self-cognitive study in the area of profound Philosophy, able to recognize, in the Junghian tradition the "individuation process," one of the most excellent paths to Individual Philosophy or Selfphilosophy.
The philosopher or depth analyst as a professional figure comes into existence with the aim to activate, stimulate and facilitate the knowledge of the Self and of life, using this knowledge as therapy.  In this therapeutic role, the analyst/philosopher avoids limiting this fundamental cognitive course to clinical treatment exclusively and strives to configure the other involved in relation to the patient. Through this experience the crisis becomes, as it was in the most ancient initiative cultures, a fertile moment of regeneration, on which is founded, at least in the cases of crisis, the clinical work of the therapist.
Our The International University Center for Soul Studies www.soulstudies.net will be an integral part of International School for Self-philosophy and Soul-therapy.
